Research

Mortality in burn victims has greatly decreased in the past decades. By over 50% in a period of 30 years. That is an enormous gain, which to a large degree can be attributed to the scientific research conducted in that period. Research leads to new treatment methods which can benefit patients.

For that reason, the Burns Foundation annually invests a lot of money in scientific research. That makes it the largest grant maker in the Netherlands for this type of research.
